EDM Louder Master Tip

in
  • e.g. EDM that Goes to -8.5 LUFS

1) Use a Dynamic EQ at Around 20Hz with a Low Shelf that Dynamically Reduces Low End when there is Too Much

    2) Use a Dynamic EQ at Around 12kHz with a Peak that Dynamically Reduces Harsh Top End when there is Too Much

    3) Reduce Transient Information on Drum Buss and 2 Buss by Clipping Before Limiting

    • you can then Add Back Transients in Specific Frequency Areas, e.g. 6kHz to 12kHz with Ozone Exciter in Transient Mode and / or 6kHz to 12kHz with Ozone Impact (Insert Plugins After Clipper)

    4) Also Reduce Low Info in the Sides Before Going to the Limiter

    • i.e. Especially Avoid Distorted Side Information in the Low End
