72 Presets for Apulsoft apShaper by Yendo Starritz

apShaper from Apulsoft is a sophisticated Software Plugin to shape an audio signals harmonic content.

I use it as my main tool in Mixing to add Harmonics / Tube Saturation / Classic Saturation / Clipping / Tape Saturation / Bit Crushing and Waveshaping.

From apShaper Version 1.2.6. (available in May 2026) on You can enjoy 72 New Presets that may help You to shape Your Sounds. Presets come at no cost for You.

  • All Presets designed for direct Inserts (except the 4 Labeled with “Send”)” are designed to be used in Parallel Either on a Duplicated Track or via Sends.
  • Presets are aimed for subtle enhancing, more towards Clean but often with Analog like Non Linearities (which is one of the Strengths in apShaper with its Modulation and Dynamic Options)
  • All Presets have dedicated hints which may help You to get faster results and can be used on Any source
  • Set General Input Source Level so it sits around -23 to -25 LUFS Integrated (Peaks at -12 to -8)
  • you can scroll through Presets without getting annoying Volume Jumps (as seen in many other plugin software presets that try to fool you) 
  • i.e. every Preset is Gain Matched as Close as Possible (if you Gain Volume it is because the Peaks are reduced)
  • of course in Audio everything is dependent on the Input Material, if necessary Adjust the Output Knob for Final Gain Matching
  • if you think A/B is Not a Big Difference then You might Not be at that point to understand how Small Differences make a Big Difference (and / or You don’t listen through good Headphones or good Speakers)
  • Demo Video is only 1 apShaper on 1 Stereo Track, but of course the Effect of apShaper (or Any Other Saturation Tool) is greater, or i should say “Stacks” if used across multiple tracks
  • All Sound Demos in the video are exports from production stage, i.e. No mixing / master or any processing has been done to better illustrate the Software Plugin effect (except a final limiter just for this video to hold the project together)
  • this helps You to Hear how 1 apShaper Instance may be the Ticket on Not yet Mixed/Mastered Sources (many Tutorials use Mixed/Mastered Sources or even take away something to then add it back. You think “Wow”, but they fool You again. I don’t like that)
