Add Reverb to Rap Vocals

in

1) Send to a 100% Wet Reverb / Delay

    2) Increase Send so you can Really Hear the Effect

    3) Engage LP (5080Hz) and HP (680Hz)

    4) Set Timing (Reverb Length), 60´000 : BPM = Decay i.e. Be Sure Snare Reverb that Does Not Interfere with Next Snare Reverb and Avoid Vocals Transients Punching Each Other into Face

    e.g. 60´000 : 88BPM = 681.8 (= 0.68 s), Once you this you can also Calculate Steps Like 2x 0.68 s = 1.36s

    5) Lead Vocal Needs Short Reverb, e.g. 0.68 s with 88BPM while Backing Vocal can have at Least Double = 1.36 s and AdLibs can Even have Triple Length or More (e.g. 2x 1.36 s or 3x 1.36 s)

    6) Use Mainly Room or Plate Algo, or then Chamber

    7) A Great Trick is to use 2 Different Reverb Hard Panned to Each Side, Especially Backing Vocals and if there is Only 1 Backing Track

    – e.g. 1 has a Short Tail, the Other a Longer Tail, Different Algo Each, Different HP / LP Settings, Different EQ (if Available Inside Plugin), Different Compressor Settings Afterwards, Distort 1 Side but Not the Other

    8) Creative Automation on Reverbs, e.g. Increase Length Before a Transition, Before or After a Hook
