- Remember that this was Still the Time of Vinyl and you had to Make Sure the Needle is Not Jumping, a Lot of Finessing and Controlling Levels with a Lot of Compression After Squeezing Every Drop of Energy Out of the Bass so the Bass (etc.) did Not Got Out of Control
- Accentuate Frequencies, e.g. 100Hz on the Kick Drum for Hip Hop
- 90ies Hip Hop also had a Lot of 808 and the 808 Kick was Around 60Hz so you Pushed that but Again After Pushing you Compress it to Control the Energy that the Result Does Not Blow the Speakers
- so it was a Balance between Making the 808 Louder, the bass Louder and the Kick Louder but it is Usable
