• How to Tame and Equal Out the Low Frequencies in a Mix to Make the Bass Constantly Powerful without Masking the Entire Mix

• Basically you Use Several Dynamic Equalizers for Each Specific Bass Notes that Pop Out and Creates the Irregular Muffled Low End

• Notice that the Note “D” (Around 73Hz) is Often a Problem Frequency in the Low End

• also Check the Dominant Note of a Problem Frequencies

Workflow

1) Insert a Multiband Dynamic Equaliser (Multiplicity) or Several Dynamic Equaliser

• it is Very Important to Detect the Exact Frequencies that Cause the Problems

• Either you Know the Notes or Use an Analyzer

• then Use the Dynamic Equalizer to Tame the Problem Frequencies Only when they Appear

• Listen to the Groove to Make the Final Decision, i.e. when it Grooves More than Before then you Make Positive Progress

2) Then Use a Parallel Compressor in the Low Frequencies

• e.g. Dynone with Following Settings to Smooth Out and Fatten the Bass Only
