Abbey Road Reverb Trick

– a High and Low Pass Filter are Added on the Reverb Sound

1) Add your Reverb to a Bus Track

2) Put a EQ (or a Hi/Low Pass Capable Filter) in Front of the Reverb

3) Set the HPF to 12dB per Octave (can also be 18dB) and Roll it Off to about 600Hz

4) Set the LPF to 12dB per Octave (can also be 18dB) and Roll it Off to about 10kHz

– this can even be Changed to Filter Down to 7000kHz

5) A further Trick is Add a “Notch” at the Instruments / Vocals Most Dominant Frequency

– i.e. on a Vocal Track this would be -2 to 3 dB at around 2kHz (Default Q)

6) Optionally Put a Compressor After the Reverb to Compress the Reverb
