  • Don’t Underestimate Reverb on the Kick
  • Reverbs were Either Yamaha SPX90 (Cheap), Dry Plate, Dry Spring, Chamber, Alesis Midi Verb II
  • Often 12Bit and SR of 20Hz
  • also Placing a LoFi / Bit Crusher Before the Reverb
  • Boost the Attack of a Sound Before Reverb
  • Filter Sound Before Reverb Below 500Hz
  • Place Saturation / Compression After Reverb to Bring Out the Reverb Tail / Add Colour
  • Place Limiter Like LA2A or LA3A After Reverb and Lower Reverb Fader
  • Always Pre Delay, e.g. for Snare Set Pre Delay at How Long Snare is, e.g. Snare is 50ms = Pre Delay is 40-60ms
  • Try 25% Wet on the Whole Drum Mix
  • Try 10% Wet on the Kick
  • Try 25% Wet on the Snare
  • Try 40% Wet on the HiHat
