5 Tips for Better Mixes

1) Group Individual Instruments to Busses for a Better Overview and Faster Way of Finding Tracks to be Optimized

2) Avoid Adding Plugins Immediately, i.e. Do a Static Mix with Only  Adjusting Levels and Panning, then Automation per Track with a Gain Plugin and Finally Consider Adding Plugins

3) Mix into Compressor and Limiter, i.e. Light Glue and Limiter with  4dB – 5dB Headroom

4) Use Volume and Filter Automation per Track to Optimize Crowded Passages with Automation

5) Replace EQ with Exciter or Saturation, e.g. Instead Boosting High Frequencies with a EQ (Digital or Analog) Use Fresh Air or a Multiband Saturator (or also Multiband Compression by Boosting High Frequencies while Compressing Them at the Same Time
